The Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS) is proud to announce the staging of the 4th ATHENS HALF MARATHON on 03 May 2015. The Athens Half Marathon is an international event open to all and a unique opportunity for runners from Greece and abroad to participate in an ideal race in the heart of spring, along and next to the most significant and historical buildings and sites on the streets of the Athens City Centre. The Athens Half Marathon is a race addressed at the same time to those that wish to test themselves before running a Marathon Race, as well as to the runners of shorter distances, who participating either in the 5km or the 3km Road Race of the event join the biggest city ‘s celebration.

Registrations opened on 17 February 2015

The Athens Half Marathon, which will celebrate its fourth anniversary this year, has become indeed a major event for the City of Athens in spring, with thousands of participants from Greece and abroad, spreading bright smiles all around the city. More than 18,000 runners from all over Greece and abroad are expected to participate in this year’s Athens Half Marathon event. The main aim of the Organizers is for the event to continue improving and developing as to the level and number of international and local participants, providing the best possible quality services to everyone.

The official Registrations Period opened on 17 February 2015. Registrations for the Half Marathon race as well as the 5km and 3km Road Races are possible after 17 February through the event’s website. We invite all runners to keep themselves updated and submit their registration soon after the opening of the registrations period, so that they secure their place in the race of their choice. The participation limits are strict and registrations will close as soon as they are met. 7,000 runners will participate in the Half Marathon race, while 7,000 runners will participate in the 5km Road Race and another 4,000 in the WIND 3km Road Race.

The way runners responded in 2014 was impressive. On 03 May 2015, even more will be present at the Start Line!
