On Sunday the 20th of March, 15.000 runners will be at Syntagma Square in order to compete at the 10th edition Athens Half Marathon, either at the half-marathon race (21.1km) or at the 5km race.
During the event, the Greek National Championship of half-marathon for 2022 will also take place. The best Greek male and female long distance runners will attend the race and will compete for the National Championship title.
The organizers of the event are “SEGAS” (the Hellenic Athletics Association) and the Municipality of Athens. Important contributors to the success of the event are the Region of Attica and the Grand Sponsor of SEGAS, Ergo Hellas.
For the 10th edition of the annual Athens Half Marathon event, there are 6.000 runners who will compete at the race of 21.1km and 9.000 runners who will compete at the 5km race.
The “10th Athens Half Marathon” is dedicated to the memory of the late composer-politician-writer Mikis Theodorakis, in order to honor his great legacy.
