Criteria & Conditions of Participation

• Accompanying adults over the age of 18 (born in 2006 or older)
• Kids who are students in the 1st to 5th grade Primary School (born between 2013 to 2017)
• People with disabilities and/or Special Olympics athletes regardless age
• Each accompanying adult can register one child
• The adult will accompany and collect his/her child at the finish line

Participation Limits

The maximum registration limit for the Family Run has been set to 1500 participants (750 adults and 750 children).

Start - Course - Finish

The start will be on Vasilissis Sofia’s Avenue at the Byzantine Museum. The route is: Vasilissis Sofia’s Avenue in the direction of Syntagma (on the upward flow of traffic) Vasilissis Amalia’s Avenue finishing in front of Syntagma Square (Monument to the Unknown Soldier)

Start Time

• The race will start at 09:25am
• There will be two consecutive starts: one at 09:25 for the 4^th and 5^th grade and one at 09:28 for the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd grade
• A third start at 09:32 for the Special Olympics Hellas athletes and people with disabilities

Medical Certificate

All runners participate in the event ON THEIR OWN RESPONSIBILITY. The Organizing Committee bears no responsibility for any issue related to the participants’ health due to the lack of complete pre-race medical check. It is recommended that all participants have recently gone through a full range medical exam before the event. Those that are already diagnosed with any kind of heart problems or have any indication of such, should take extra notice of this and pay extra attention before registering in the event. It is recommended that all runners, regardless age, are gone through a detailed cardio check before participating in the event.The Organizing Committee will not request any written medical certification given that all runners participate in the event on exclusively their own responsibility.

BEFORE THE RACE

Bib Number Pick-up

Participants will collect their bib number at the Runners' Center & Half Marathon EXPO by the guardians or the accompanying adult of the participating children upon presentation of their ID and the child's Birth Certificate.

RACE DAY

Gathering at the Starting Area

On the day of the race, and given that the start time of the Race is set at 09:25, all participants should be gathered at Vasilissis Sofia’s Avenue at the height of LAED, approximately half an hour (30 minutes) before the Race, i.e. from 08:45 to 09:00. Anyone who will not be on Vasilissis Sofia’s Avenue at the height of LAED by this time, will not be able to participate in the Race.

AFTER THE RACE

Awards

All participants to cross the finish line will receive a finishers’ medal.
