HALF MARATHON RACE

START : 09.00am

Age Limit for Participation

In order for a runner to be eligible to participate in the Half Marathon Race, he/she needs to be at least 18 years old (born in 2006 or older).

Bib Number & Race Kit Pick-up

All regitered runners shall pick-up their bib number (timing chip embedded) and race kit, from the Runners' Center & Half Marathon EXPO, which will be hosted at the Faliro Indoor Hall & Exhibition Centre of Athens (TAEKWONDO Venue), at the Olympic Faliro Coastal Zone the following days and hours:

Thursday 7 March 2024: 13.00 – 20.00
Friday 8 March 2024: 10.00 - 20.00
Saturday 9 March 2024: 10.00 – 18.00

Start and Finish Time

The Half Marathon Race will stat at 09.00am and will be conluded at 12.15am. By that time all runners need to have reached the finish line.


Medical Certificate

All runners participate in the event ON THEIR OWN RESPONSIBILITY. The Organizing Committee bears no responsibility for any issue related to the participants’ health due to the lack of complete pre-race medical check. It is recommended that all participants have recently gone through a full range medical exam before the event. Those that are already diagnosed with any kind of heart problems or have any indication of such, should take extra notice of this and pay extra attention before registering in the event. It is recommended that all runners, regardless age, are gone through a detailed cardio check before participating in the event.The Organizing Committee will not request any written medical certification given that all runners participate in the event on exclusively their own responsibility.


Feed Zones

Feed zones are available along the Half Marathon Race course. Bottled water is offered at the Start, Finish and all feed zones. Furthermore, isotonic drinks are offered to the Half Marathon runners in one of the feed zones along the course, as well as at the Finish.


Awards & Participation Certificate

A medal and a distinction diploma are awarded to the first three winners of the Men's and Women's General Ranking. Cash prizes will be given to the first eight (8) Greek winners of the Half Marathon race if specific finish times are achieved. All runners that successfully finish the race will receive a finishers’ medal and can download their personalized participation certificate after the announcement of the Official Race Results through the website of the event's official photo agency (marathonphotos.live).
